With a central application environment and automated processes, Paragon Ventures (P) Ltd, the leading restaurant brand, has a robust ecosystem that enables them to deliver superior customer service.
Paragon Group, established in 1939, is one of the most recognized restaurant brands worldwide. Paragon is consistently ranked among Dubai’s best restaurants and was also acclaimed as India’s best restaurant for coastal cuisines by Times Now Foodie Awards. In Kerala, Paragon has footprints across major cities, including Kozhikode, Cochin, and Trivandrum; and has also expanded to Dubai and Persian Gulf regions internationally.
Being one of the most chosen restaurant brands among people, Paragon has hundreds of thousands of service delivery across its branches. For many years, the group depended on disparate software across its restaurant chains. The disparate environment failed to unify the operations; thus, manual processes and staff interventions filled the gaps and blind spots that the system didn’t address. Lack of combined business information across the restaurant chains was the critical driver behind Paragon’s decision to streamline its operation using centralized software. Besides, all aspects of the process were not automated, and some followed a manual mode of delivery.
“Being one of the fastest expanding hospitality chains, a primary challenge that we faced was the lack of availability of consolidated business information across our network due to disparate software being in use,” said Rajesh V., Corporate General Manager of Paragon Ventures.
With plans for consolidation across its restaurant chains, Paragon kicked off its mission to establish a clear roadmap for revamping its IT infrastructure in 2017. The group kept an overarching goal of moving its operations into a robust automated workflow to serve its business and its customers better. This transitioning required moving into a centralized hotel ERP solution and decommissioning its outdated systems.
Paragon sought to automate its ten restaurant chains – six in Kerala and four in Dubai – and a lengthy evaluation process concluded in end-2017 with a decision to go with Datamate’s Purple Keys Tablet POS Restaurant Management System. Paragon partnered with Datamate for end-to-end software implementation, including a gap study, customization, installation, training, integration with peripheral systems, and implementation.
The main focus in Paragon’s implementation for Datamate was the magnitude of the project, especially to close the implementation within the stipulated time.
Paragon went live with Purple Keys Tablet POS Restaurant Management System with Restaurant Management System, Tablet POS System, Stock Control and Inventory Management, Food Cost and Yield Management System, Finance Management System, Kitchen Order Display, Home Delivery Management and Online Management System. Paragon reported several advantages with Purple Keys POS. “Purple Keys brought enormous benefits to our business operations,” added Rajesh V., Corporate General Manager of Paragon Ventures.

- The management receives ABT analysis from various outlets in real-time.
